Muddiest Points on Metadata
1. Can the program Xtme, which is a metadata editor, be used to create metadata also?
2. If an error is made in arranging a metadata set, in what ways would it affect the display of the metadata?
3.I was not aware that there were different metadata standards depending on which subject area they were associated with. For instance for Biology there is Darwin Core, for music notation there is MEI and so on. Is there one body overseeing the various different metadata standards or is that anyone who produces metadata can set their own standard?
