ARIMA AND SAN JUAN PUBLIC LIBRARIES CELEBRATE MOTHERS

It was once said that “motherhood is the highest, holiest service to be assumed by mankind”.
With this statement in mind, the Arima and the San Juan Public Libraries collaborated with Ephraim Hunte, founder of the reputed Ephraim Hunte International Makeup Academy, to host a Mothers’ Day Beauty Extravaganza at the Arima Public Library on May 09, 2014.

Hunte and his team of skin care and beauty consultants (Sherra Flores – manicure and pedicurists; Makeisha Augustine, Charis Sieunarine, Natalie Miles, Sandy Daisy - makeup artistes; and Carol Hall of Iris Image Consultants), transformed the Arima Public Library into a saloon/spa of sorts. Approximately 40 mothers from the Arima and San Juan communities participated, being treated to a variety of beauty and skin care activities.

Hunte, who is also the Editor in Chief and Creative Director of “Carivele Caribbean Magazine”, said that he was pleased to collaborate with the libraries on this project as he has a long standing relationship with NALIS. Earlier in the programme, the guests were served non-alcoholic wine and thematically decorated cupcakes. In addition, they were serenaded and tribute was paid to them by the library staff.  All the mothers were pleased with the manner in which event was organized, calling it a memorable afternoon.Visit NALIS’s website at www.nalis.gov.tt for information about events at libraries.
